Here at Carrier we understand the importance of our corporate and social responsibility. We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint and being an advocate for human rights and animal welfare. We’re by no means perfect but we’ve been taking some steps to ensure we’re having a positive impact…
We’re proud to be in partnership with Uthando as well as the official sponsor of Professors Without Borders, and we’re constantly looking to help organisations that need support. Our staff are also given two extra days a year off to volunteer with local community groups that have included Manchester Dogs' Home and beach cleans.
We’ve made our office as environmentally friendly as possible by recycling all of our toner cartridges and Nespresso pods as well as removing personal bins and introducing designated recycling bins. Our business cards and holders are also made with paper sourced from sustainable forests and recycled pulp board.
We work with some of the most luxurious resorts and properties in the world, that are supporting the natural environment and precious cultures that make them so appealing. From the centuries-old rainforest in Malaysia to the rare marine life in the Maldives, we offer a range of holidays and experiences that support sustainable tourism.
Professors Without Borders (PROWIBO) aims to facilitate international teacher mobility and provide students all over the globe with a dedicated, professional and inspiring learning environment that equips them for success in later life.

Read MoreWe endeavour to only work with and promote companies whose policies and ethics align with ours. For example, we liaise with wildlife authorities to ensure we don’t promote experiences that could be harmful to animals or their habitats and encourage suppliers to adapt their offering through educating them on the alternatives.
We offer our staff the option to take two volunteering days a year as a way of giving back to local projects. These can range from dog walking at local shelters, beach cleaning on national trust sites or educating school pupils on LGBT+ issues with the charity Diversity Role Models.
Alongside our partnership with Professors Without Borders, we organise fundraising events in our offices to raise money for other charities. In the past we have donated to: Macmillan, Sport Relief, Alzheimer's Society, Manchester Emergency Fund, MS Society, Adopt a Child, Independent Options, Family Holiday Association, Comic Relief and Children in Need.
Recycling bins currently outnumber general waste in our offices, alongside recycling Nespresso pods and toner cartridges we donate old marketing collateral to local primary schools to use in craft projects.
While offices are notorious for waste, we have reduced ours through a number of successful initiatives that limit the amount of paper used and wasted in our workspace. Some of these include using technology in meeting rooms, introducing dual displays and laptops, and encouraging staff to print less.
