Originally built to host the Gulf Cooperation Council Summit in 1985, it is now widely regarded as one of the premier hotels in the Arabian Gulf. Meticulously designed rooms and suites reflect both local traditions and art deco designs – the exclusive Lagoon Rooms offer guests direct access from their private patios to the lagoons, while Executive Suites provide spectacular sea views. All rooms enjoy private balconies overlooking the mountains, the gardens, the pools or the sea.
An array of restaurants offer a variety of authentic cuisines including fine-dining Chinese plus an abundance of fresh local seafood prepared with culinary expertise. A choice of bars and terraces give the option to dine alfresco and enjoy an aperitif or nightcap at the water’s edge. Here you can unwind on the private beach or around the landscaped swimming pools. Aquatic opportunities include windsurfing and snorkelling along with scuba diving and boat trips at The Oman Dive Centre. Children from five to twelve are well catered for in the children's program, Ritz Kids.

Low season in Oman is generally between the months of May to September, high season runs from October to April. Prices are based on 2 sharing (unless otherwise indicated) and include return economy flights from London. Regional departures, child prices and single supplements are available on request. Oman experiences high temperatures throughout the year with minimal rainfall. The best time to visit is between October and March when it is cooler. During the summer months temperatures rise considerably, whilst hotel rates are at their lowest and offers are most attractive.
