Comprising of nine inter-leading luxury rooms, each room has air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, satellite TV and minibar. Outside in the carefully tended grounds there’s a swimming pool with a shallow area for children. In fact, children are particularly well looked after here thanks to the “Kids on Safari” programme with a designated children’s coordinator who will keep kids entertained, children from the age of four upwards can participate in game drives. Each young explorer also receives a personal gift pack and has access to the kids club and outdoor adventure centre; child minding is also available. Guided 4x4 safaris will take you deep into Big 5 territory, while those seeking a truly immersive experience may like to visit the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and Born Free centre on the reserve. When the stars come out, settle down to dine in the firelit boma overlooking the Bushmans River.

Low season for South Africa is generally between the months of May to September, high season runs from mid December to Easter. Supplements may apply to peak periods such as Christmas and Easter. Prices are per person per night based on 2 sharing (unless otherwise indicated) and itinerary prices include return economy flights from London. Regional departures and single supplements are available on request. Accommodation only prices do not include flights. Where prices for our hotels, lodges and camps are shown as fully inclusive this generally includes all food and drinks but in most cases will exclude certain premium branded spirits, premium wines and Champagne. A year round destination, but expect cooler weather in the Eastern and Western Capes during winter, between June and August. Mpumalanga stays warm year round with temperatures, humidity and rainfall all increasing in the summer months between October and March. The whales return to the waters around Hermanus from July to November, and the spring months of August and September are particularly colourful along the Garden Route.
The prime time for game viewing is generally the drier winter and spring months from April to September when animals frequent the waterholes. During the wetter summer months between October and March, animals can still be viewed but are more widely dispersed – from December to February there may be more sightings of newborn animals.
