Discreet service and an easy-going charm underpin this longstanding ski-in ski-out Relais & Châteaux four-star hotel, tucked away in a quiet corner of calm in the heart of vibrant Méribel. Set over two expansive buildings the property is the epitome of traditional alpine chic, some of its rooms and suites having been thoughtfully renovated over recent years. Pale woods and warm furs distinguish the more contemporary living spaces, while rich wood panelling and embroidered textiles are a feature of the traditionally styled accommodations. There are terraces or private balconies, iPod docks and Blu-ray players; interconnecting room options are also available. Epicurean meals are accompanied by excellent wines from the 400-label cellar, with views across to Mont Vallon from the south facing terrace, ever popular at lunchtime.
With its sauna, Jacuzzi and hammam, the small Valmont spa is ideal for après-ski unwinding; kids can enjoy TV, table football and a plethora of the latest video games in the well-equipped games room.
