Arrive by boat before being introduced to the joys of the spa, Burma Bar and the Nong Yao Restaurant with its innovative Thai-to-Western cuisine.
Breakfast and lunch are a casual affair, tables are decorated with local hill tribe artefacts complemented by silverware, evening dinner is more refined with white linen and fine porcelain. Soothe aching muscles in the idyllic outdoor swimming pool after jungle activities and observe the work of elephant conservation programmes in the area. Low season for Thailand is generally between the months of April to October, high season runs from November to March. The exception is Koh Samui, where the low season runs from September to November and high season lasts from December to August. Prices are based on 2 sharing (unless otherwise indicated) with some including return economy flights from London. Regional departures, child prices and single supplements are available on request. Spa :-Comfort unyielding muscles, rejuvenate body and mind with a traditional ninety minute Thai massage, part of the Four Seasons Tented Camp experience. Nestled amidst the bamboo forests of the Golden Triangle the spa blends seamlessly with its surroundings, offering two open air salas featuring double treatment rooms where innovative rituals involve the use of mountain botanicals and warm spices.
Golden Triangle Culture:-Travelling aboard custom designed traditional long-tailed river boat, together with a private guide embark on this enlightening tour cruising the wide Mekong River to the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Myanmar and Laos come together. On arrival board a Tuk Tuk to visit a local market and the ancient Wat Chedi Luanga with its impressive 14th and 15th century ruins. Camp Explorations:- Join a morning guided uphill hike on the Camp’s Jungle Trail to the Camp Peak, where the views over the Mekong River and the mountains of Laos are simply awe inspiring. Herbal walks through the Camp are also popular, all the plants that are foraged en- route are collected and delivered to the kitchen where the Chef will create a healthy menu served straight from jungle to table.
Thailand is generally very hot and humid with distinct dry and rainy seasons. The best time to visit most resorts, including Phuket, Khao Sok, Krabi, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, is from November to March, with the exception of Koh Samui which is best visited from December to August. However, with ever-changing weather patterns and excellent offers, it is well worth considering a holiday during the shoulder seasons.
