Marrakech / Dar El Sadaka

A uniquely playful paradise with whimsical décor and wildlife-themed suites, Dar El Sadaka’s charm lies in its ability to wow at every turn.

Starting life as an artist’s residence, before becoming the headquarters of a humanitarian foundation and later a yoga and meditation gateway, the private estate of Dar El Sadaka is a spirited sanctuary steeped in history. Now the home-turned-villa of French visual artist Jean-François Fourtou, the sleek property showcases a new kind of luxury influenced by modern art, sculpture and character.

Located in the heart of the Palmeraie of Marrakech, just 15 minutes from the city walls, you’ll find intriguing pieces in unexpected places throughout the estate and an utterly unique interior design unlike anywhere else. We’re talking orangutans swinging from living room chandeliers, an elephant’s trunk peeking out from behind vine-draped gardens, a giant room installation inspired by Fourtou’s childhood home and even a house fallen out of the sky – a tribute to his late grandfather. Which – alongside the resident team of attentive staff and chef, swimming pool, private tennis court and yoga studio – creates a truly inspired and unforgettably Moroccan retreat with a playful twist.
