The lodge tent features a lounge/library with iPads, TV and DVD and dining area where delicious meals are served around the communal table or alfresco on the deck with valley views. Recreations focus around the twice daily game drives, infinity pool and spa, where treatments are accompanied by the gentle sounds of the bush. Head off for the day with a Champagne picnic and round off an exhilarating night drive with a lavish, candlelit barbecue in the bush.

Joining the best guides in the area - the majority of the team here are Masai and hail from local communities - you will be navigated on twice daily game drives, escorted on bush walks and taken on visits to the nearby markets. The Motorogi Conservancy is home to wildebeest, zebra, cheetah, giraffe and gazelles, as well as the Big Five. Of course the biggest draw to the area is the annual Great Migration and, set on a ridge, this natural amphitheatre-like viewing point is a remarkable place to catch the unforgettable spectacle.
Perfectly positioned for the remarkable Great Migration is Sir Richard Branson's new offering. Mahali Mzuri lies within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy and has traversing rights to 33,000 acres of an eco-system abundant with wildlife.
January to March is hot and dry with the long rains usually falling from April to early June. Between June and October it is warm and dry during the day but cold at night. The migration usually arrives in the Mara from July with river crossings from Tanzania generally taking place between July and September. The herds rest in Kenya before crossing back to Tanzania in October/November. Kenya’s coast enjoys a tropical climate – April to June can be humid, tempered by monsoon winds.
