Each of the unique and lavishly furnished suites bear the hallmarks of Liz Biden’s exceptional designs; one features oriental antiques, another boasts a heated marble four-poster bed and all have chandeliers, vast bathrooms and either a balcony or terrace from which to admire the views.
Impressive artworks adorn the walls, vast fireplaces dominate high ceilinged rooms and rich fabrics create an air of tranquility and opulence throughout. Step from the beamed dining room onto expansive terraces and relax by the infinity pool or in the spa. Explore by bicycle, sample the local wines or dine at the Chef’s Table. Within the vineyard are five villas, three with a private pool, where families of all ages are welcome.

Low season for South Africa is generally between the months of May to September, high season runs from mid December to Easter. Supplements may apply to peak periods such as Christmas and Easter. Prices are per person per night based on 2 sharing (unless otherwise indicated) and itinerary prices include return economy flights from London. Regional departures and single supplements are available on request. Accommodation only prices do not include flights. Where prices for our hotels, lodges and camps are shown as fully inclusive this generally includes all food and drinks but in most cases will exclude certain premium branded spirits, premium wines and Champagne. A year round destination, but expect cooler weather in the Eastern and Western Capes during winter, between June and August. Mpumalanga stays warm year round with temperatures, humidity and rainfall all increasing in the summer months between October and March. The whales return to the waters around Hermanus from July to November, and the spring months of August and September are particularly colourful along the Garden Route.
The prime time for game viewing is generally the drier winter and spring months from April to September when animals frequent the waterholes. During the wetter summer months between October and March, animals can still be viewed but are more widely dispersed – from December to February there may be more sightings of newborn animals.
