Khao Lak / The Sarojin

Reminiscent of staying at a friend's private estate, intimacy and understated luxury come together in a madly romantic setting at the award-winning property The Sarojin.

Beautifully located on a secluded eleven kilometre white sand beach by the Andaman Sea, it borders spectacular primary rainforests and national parks including the fabled dive sanctuaries of the Similan and Surin Islands, and the dramatic limestone outcrops of Phang Nga Bay. Residences are spacious, contemporary Asian in style; some with exquisite outdoor salas, some with private plunge pools, and others with circular relaxation pools on their private terraces, while the truly luxurious Spa Suites include a one hour complimentary spa massage credit per room for every night of stay.

There is no need to set a wakeup call to enjoy the a la carte breakfast with sparkling wine - served until 6pm - order as many dishes as you wish set under the backdrop of the age-old Ficus tree. For dinner enjoy a romantic private dining experience by a candlelit waterfall, an idyllic beach, your own private island or wherever the mood takes you. For further relaxation, surrender to sublime pampering in the Pathways Spa. A dedicated team of personal guides and the 'imagineer' - the ultimate concierge - delight in creating tailor-made experiences 'just for two'; a private charter on a yacht, a jungle adventure complete with champagne, an exhilarating mountain bike trek, or a Thai cookery class by the river. The only limit is your imagination.

When to visit Thailand

Thailand is generally very hot and humid with distinct dry and rainy seasons. The best time to visit most resorts, including Phuket, Khao Sok, Krabi, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, is from November to March, with the exception of Koh Samui which is best visited from December to August. However, with ever-changing weather patterns and excellent offers, it is well worth considering a holiday during the shoulder seasons.
