St Lucia / Cap Maison

Say hello to an old friend

Carrier’s top pick for igniting feelings of nostalgia at an all-time favourite in 2022

Perfectly perched upon an ocean bluff overlooking the Caribbean Sea, this award-winning 5 star boutique hotel and spa in the exclusive Cap Estate is revered for its golden sand beach and exceptional gastronomic fare.

Overseen by General Manager Ross Stevenson, its style is reminiscent of an elegant Spanish villa, with landscaped courtyards and patios framed with lush vegetation. Many of the luxury villas and suites offer breathtaking sea views; the split-level Villa Suites with rooftop terrace and private pool are particularly recommended. One of the most sought-after dining experiences in St Lucia, the Cliff at Cap restaurant serves à la carte French-Caribbean cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal produce, led by Head Chef Craig Jones. Sample rare champagnes and fine wines from Cellar Maison and explore the region’s rums with the resident rum sommelier.

Leisure time may be spent by the two pools, in the fitness centre or experiencing an indulgent Sothys treatment at the resort spa. Down at the secluded beach known as ‘Smugglers Cove’, The Naked Fisherman Beach Bar & Grill serves fresh lobster lunches, barbecue grills and salads in understated luxury; guests can also try their hand at snorkelling, sailing or kayaking. If you are interested in Cap Maison, St Lucia or any of our other hotels on the island, then please make an online enquiry or chat to us online; your luxury Caribbean holiday awaits.

Food for thought

With a world-class restaurant and published book entitled ‘Recipes from Saint Lucia’ to its name, Cap Maison is an exemplary choice for those who seek the most exceptional food. Couples can take part in a Caribbean cookery class led by the resort’s Head Chef or choose to dine in exclusivity in a setting of their choice – the wine and champagne cellar is just one of the options available.

Relax on deck on Cap Maison I

Cruising down the west coast of the island, the ‘Cap Maison I’ private yacht takes you to see the majestic Pitons in the utmost comfort and luxury; an expansive deck offers plenty of space for sunbathing, whilst the interior features two cabins, a galley and salon decked in sophisticated cherry wood. A sunset cruise is especially recommended.

Active pursuits

One of the best things about Cap Maison, St Lucia is its close proximity to many of the island’s revered sports and activity centres. Only minutes away, the St Lucia Golf and Country Club offers some of the most challenging holes in the Caribbean, whilst Rodney Bay Marina is the place to visit to charter a sailboat. Cap Maison itself offers high-quality diving sessions in some of St Lucia’s most captivating dive sites.

When to visit St Lucia

With its tropical climate and temperatures averaging 24°C, St Lucia is a year-round destination, though the best months to visit are generally from mid-December to May, when the island is drier and less humid. During June to November, the humidity level increases and intense tropical showers or occasional storms may be experienced – excellent offers are usually available during these months. A popular choice for luxury family holidays, St Lucia is usually busy around the school holiday periods; we recommend booking a year in advance, especially for the festive season.
