The Casa Principal houses nine rooms and suites; the rest, some with private plunge pools, are dotted throughout the well-manicured gardens, each complete with black-out blinds and courtesy Havaianas flip-flops for lazy days spent around the exquisite pool or in the organic spa.
The white sand beach and a romantic restaurant specialises in ethnic Meso- American cuisine using produce from the estate’s own garden. Renowned local attractions, including spell-binding Tulum, the Mayan Pyramids at Chichen Itza and deep underground cenotes, are all within easy reach.

Low season for Mexico is generally between the months of May to October, whilst high season runs from mid December to Easter. Prices are based on 2 sharing (unless otherwise indicated) and include return economy flights from London. For Mexico City, prices are based on 3 nights accommodation with no flights or transfers. In October 2017, Hotel Esencia launched 11 brand new suites, made up of six Beach Suites and five Jungle Suites. Ideal for serenity seekers, the Beach Suites have direct access to Xpu-Ha, which is a protected, tranquil beach where sea turtles nest every year. For guests who prefer a more verdant view, the Jungle suites overlook the lush gardens.
Esencia is a tropical haven dedicated to relaxation. Indulge in a traditional Mayan aromatherapy treatment in the organic spa, stroll through tropical fruit and herb gardens or take a dip in the inviting pools.
Serving up spectacular ocean views as well as Greek and Spanish inspired cuisine from Chef Dimitris Katrivesis, Hotel Esencia's new restaurant opens in October 2017. Open to both the public and hotel guests, dine underneath a traditional thatched roof while taking in the postcard perfect sunset.
Riviera Maya is enjoyable year-round, but October to May is generally the most pleasant time to visit. Humidity is at its highest from July to September, with occasional showers more likely to occur on the Gulf Coast. November to May are the most popular months to visit Baja Peninsula, characterised by warm, generally dry days, whilst July to October tends to be hotter and more humid with the possibility of tropical storms. Mexico City is best visited between March to May; winter brings cool temperatures, whilst June to October can be more humid with a daily short burst of showers.
