Cape Town

Cape Town

Boasting a prime spot on the V&A Waterfront, One&Only Cape Town is a great base to explore the amalgamation of cultures that define the city. Here, little explorers lead a bicycle tour of the city’s art installations following a vista-filled journey up to Table Mountain. South Africa wouldn’t be complete without its rich bio-diversity, so a day in Cape Peninsula in a given. A search for the Cape 5 uncovers the seals and penguins of the region on tourist-hidden beaches before a hike to Cape Point Lighthouse and back along the seaboard. Stop for homemade ice cream at a local farm village, head back to the beach or pause at an old fort lookout for magical views. (BB)

Top tip: In season, take a boat trip to see how many of the Marine Big 5 (Cape fur seals, bottlenose dolphins, great white sharks, colonies of the endangered African penguins and the southern right whales) you’re lucky enough to spot.
